Mildison Lipocream is a cream-based medication that can be applied topically to the skin. It contains the active ingredient hydrocortisone, which is a topical corticosteroid that helps to calm itching and inflammation in the skin, while also getting rid of scaling and redness.
Mildison Lipocream is a corticosteroid cream containing the active ingredient hydrocortisone. This medication helps to reduce inflammation and discomfort in the skin that can be caused by various sources of stimuli, including allergies.
Skin inflammation can happen for a variety of reasons, including when it is irritated because of a specific reaction to something in the air, or something that touches it. Substances are then released by the body that cause the blood vessels to widen, forcing the irritated area to become swollen, painful and itchy. Creams such as Mildison Lipocream use corticosteroids to act within the skin cells to prevent the release of those inflammatory substances. This reduces the redness, itching, and swelling that occurs when you are exposed to irritants, and also prevents scratching that might irritate the skin even further. Mildison Lipocream is a relatively mild form of corticosteroid that is recommended for the treatment of a range of skin conditions.
Mildison Lipocream is a well-tolerated and mild form of corticosteroid that can be prescribed for a variety of reasons, including to treat reactions to insect bites, plants, deodorants, toiletries, detergents and soaps. This substance can also be suitable for the treatment of various mild forms of eczema. Mildison Lipocream is particularly helpful when used for the treatment of mild inflammatory conditions, such as allergic dermatitis caused by contact, and irritant contact dermatitis. You might also use this medication if you have reactions to insect stings, and it can also be used for nappy rash. If you are unsure about using Mildison Lipocream for any reason, speak to your consultant or doctor in advance to ensure that this medication is properly suited to your needs.
Mildison Lipocream can be applied thinly to the affected area of the skin on a daily basis. In most cases, your doctor will request you use this medication regularly over time, to help to reduce itching and discomfort. As a topical cream, Mildison Lipocream is applied directly to the affected skin, and should not be swallowed. Make sure that you read the patient leaflet that comes with this medication to find out more about how you can use it safely, and what you can do to reduce your risk of side effects. Do not use Mildison Lipocream on broken or infected skin areas unless the infection is being treated at the same time.
Mildison Lipocream is not always appropriate for use on the skin of the face. You should take care if you do apply it to the face to ensure that you do not get it into the mouth, nose or eyes. If this medication does come into contact with those areas, rinse with cold water. Wash your hands before you apply this cream and wash the area that you are going to be treating. When you are ready, apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected skin.
You should not cover the area that is being treated with any airtight dressings unless your doctor or consultant advises otherwise. Using dressings with Mildison Lipocream can increase the risk of too much of the medication being absorbed into your blood stream, which could heighten your risk of side effects.
You should wash your hands thoroughly after using this medication.
Mildison Lipocream will be provided to you in a specific dosage depending on your needs and the previous reactions that you have had to similar treatments. Usually, the dosage for children and adults will be a thin film of cream that is applied to the affected area anywhere up to three times per day. If you are using the cream over an extended period of time and you are concerned that the issue is not getting any better, speak to your doctor.
Continue using Mildison Lipocream for as long as you are advised to do so, and make sure that you are careful when applying it with any other medications. If you are concerned that the area of the skin that you are applying Mildison Lipocream to has become infected or damaged in any way, consult a medical professional.
Topical corticosteroids such as Mildison Lipocream are usually very safe as when these medications are applied onto the skin, they do not absorb too much into the blood stream. Your risk of side effects is therefore significantly reduced. However, it is worth noting that all people respond to medications in very different ways. Mildison Lipocream can cause side effects in some people, even if they are very mild.
Reading your patient leaflet will give you a better overview of the kind of side effects that are possible. For instance, Mildison Lipocream might cause burning and itching when you begin applying the medication to your skin. This can happen when your body is not used to the ingredients, but it could also be a sign that you are having an allergic reaction to the medication. If you notice any signs of an allergic reaction, such as sudden swelling in the skin or trouble breathing, seek emergency attention immediately.
Mildison Lipocream and other corticosteroid medications can also cause more significant side effects when used for long periods of time on large patches of skin. In this case, you might suffer from problems with pure adrenal gland functioning, skin thinning or excessive hair growth. These side effects are very rare, but they can become more likely when Mildison Lipocream is applied to damaged skin, or skin that rubs together regularly.
Mildison Lipocream is a highly effective treatment for many different inflammatory skin conditions. However, there are people who may not people able to use Mildison Lipocream because of various issues with their medical history, or their response to certain medications. It is important to tell your consultant about your full medical background when you begin using Mildison Lipocream.
Also, make sure that your doctor or consultant is aware if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Although it is generally safe to use medications such as Mildison Lipocream when you are pregnant, you may find that you need additional guidance or monitoring from your doctor.
It is not a good idea to take Mildison Lipocream if you are trying to treat conditions of the skin caused by viral infections such as chickenpox or shingles. Additionally, you should not use this medication with bacterial skin infections such as impetigo. Do not use Mildison Lipocream with thrush, ringworm, acne or acne rosacea.
If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Mildison Lipocream, do not use it. Additionally, Mildison Lipocream should be avoided if you are concerned that you may be allergic to any of the inactive ingredients in the medication. Making sure that your consultant is aware of all the substances that you are using is a good way to avoid an accidental allergic reaction.
Mildison Lipocream should never be used as a moisturizer, and it should not be used on any broken or damaged areas of skin, as this could increase your chances of absorbing more of the medication, and therefore experiencing dangerous side effects.
If you are going to use other medications with Mildison Lipocream, you will need to make sure that your consultant or doctor is aware of all the substances that you are already taking. Some medications may interact negatively with other drugs or substances in your system. With that in mind, make sure that your consultant is aware of any other over-the-counter or prescription medications that you might be using. It is also a good idea to make them aware of any herbal substances or supplements that you take.
It is particularly important to tell your doctor or consultant if you are already using another kind of medication that includes corticosteroids. The more you are exposed to corticosteroids, the greater your chances of experiencing side effects. If you need to use other medications with a topical application process on the same skin patch that you are using Mildison Lipocream, make sure that you tell your consultant. You will need to leave several minutes between applying both medications to ensure that they each soak into the skin properly.
If you are going to be using Mildison Lipocream with a moisturizer, apply the latter 30 minutes before you apply the medication. This could soften the skin and help to improve your ability to absorb Mildison Lipocream. If you apply moisturizer just before using Mildison Lipocream, it may dilute the medication.
